Looking forward to the meeting in Durbanville on Monday night. The meetings attended in Hermanus and then Sea Point were very uplifting.

Hermanus, my first time at this meeting, great to feel the warmth and fantastic welcome extended to us by the Whale of a Group.

The Sea Point meeting was a huge one. Lots of members attended the session. Felt energised after coming from there.

Now for Durbanville on Monday 26th Oct and then Observatory (my home, The Good Hope Group) on Guy Forks day.

Hope to see you all there.

Yours in Service

Yusuf

I to have been energized by the response thus far to our outreach program! I’m looking forward to the Obs meeting on 5th November.

I have never been in a meeting where everyone present has an opportunity to read one of the Steps – Traditions – Concepts. That is 36 people. Sea Point came very closeJ

Perhaps Obs will achieve that. If not then I have no doubt that Grassy Park will have upwards of 36 people present on 25th November.

In the Nar-Anon program we share our Experience Strength & Hope and as it is said “A candle loses nothing by lighting another candle.”

Just a thought – each person in the meeting is given a candle. The first person lights the candle, reads a Step, lights the second persons candle and places the candle in a tea time cake and so on – might be fun to see how far it goesJ. In a meeting of over 36 people we might have to read the Just for Today’s.

See you all on the 5th November.

Love in fellowship

Dear All As part of the Area Outreach Team, I am writing to thank all those groups and individuals who have participated thus far. Our objective is to promote fellowship, equip groups with the latest Chairperson Folder plus group material and make SESH books and Nar-Anon literature available. Thus far all our objectives have been achieved and surpassed. The last two visits for 2009 are Grassy Park on 25th November and Bellville on 3rd December 2009. To those groups that have not been visited, we offer our apologies. We hope to complete the Outreach Program by 31st March 2010. The lucky draw for the SESH book will take place at our April area meeting. We should have upwards of 100 names in the hat. There are two ways in which a date is set to visit a group. 1         -  A date is proposed to the Group Rep at an Area Meeting and the Group Rep re-confirms that date after a group conscience has agreed.2         -  A date is proposed at a group meeting and the Group Rep communicates that date to either Bev Yusuf or Maurice. The date is agreed at an Area Meeting and re-confirmed to the Group Rep. The following groups are due to be visited in 2010. ClaremontLakesideTokaiMitchell’s PlainStrandfonteinTableview Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns: Bev - bakkerct@iafrica.comYusuf - bearspad@telkomsa.net or SamsodY@telkom.co.za or 082 772 2278Maurice – Maurice@raicom.co.za or 082 658 4830 Love in fellowship & service Maurice

The Area Outreach program has been completed. Thanks to all the groups that participated and to all those who help to achieve our objective!

The winner of the SESH book in the lucky draw was Robyn.
